SCORE!: Reimagined summer theater workshop open for enrollment

Fort Wayne, Ind. (June 25, 2020) – The Embassy Theatre is pleased to announce enrollment is open for its summer SCORE!: Reimagined 2020 program for secondary students.

In its eighth year, this modified reimagined devised musical theater workshop immerses students in all elements of theater. Devised theater is a term used to describe a mode of theater-making that does not begin with a script. Instead, students create a script through the process of thematic and artistic exploration.

The program is ‘reimagined’ due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Up to 16 students can apply for SCORE!: Reimagined. Students who have completed grades 6, 7 or 8 and are SCORE! alumni are eligible to apply. The workshop will take place July 13-26.

During the two weeks, students will incorporate play-writing, drama, instrumental music and technical arts, culminating with a performance on the legendary Embassy stage.

Financial aid is available. The deadline for registration and applying for financial aid is July 6 or until capacity is reached. Enrollment forms and more information about financial aid are available for download at http://fwembassytheatre.org/education/score/.
