The world-renowned brass quintet Canadian Brass will perform with the Jazz Lab Ensemble and Wind Ensemble from Ball State University. With a discography of over 130 albums and an extensive world-wide touring schedule, Canadian Brass is an important pioneer in bringing brass music to mass audiences everywhere. The hallmark of any Canadian Brass performance is entertainment, spontaneity, virtuosity and, most of all, fun but never at the expense of the music. The Jazz Lab Ensemble will also be joined by Broadway singer and Ball State alumna Kayla Davion who recently landed a part of the Broadway musical Waitress and is the understudy for the character Dawn. The local North Side High School Jazz Ensemble will open the concert. A free Canadian Brass clinic/demonstration will occur at 1:15 prior to the concert.
