October at the Embassy Theatre Offers Classic Horror, Halloween Favorites and Anime Music
Fort Wayne, Ind. (September 21, 2026) – The Embassy Theatre is bringing a diverse lineup of entertainment to downtown Fort Wayne this October, with three special events that invite audiences to experience the historic theatre in unique ways. From a live organ accompaniment to classic Halloween films and a high-energy anime concert, there is something for movie lovers, Halloween enthusiasts and anime fans alike.
The October lineup kicks off Saturday, Oct. 17, at 7:30 p.m. with a special screening of the classic silent horror film Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, accompanied live on the Embassy’s Grande Page pipe organ by acclaimed Embassy house organist Cletus Goens.
The screening is part of Downtown Fort Wayne’s annual Fright Night celebration. Audiences can experience the chilling tale of good and evil as it was originally intended—with dramatic live music filling the historic theater.
Goens began piano lessons at an early age in his hometown of Marion, Ind., and discovered theater organ as a teenager after hearing the Wurlitzer organ at Indianapolis’ Paramount Music Palace. At 16, he began assisting as an intermission organist at the Anderson Paramount Theatre. His career has included performing at Midwestern restaurants and lounges, playing theater organ at venues including Kokomo’s Pipe Dream and Fort Wayne’s Cardinal Music Palace, and serving in various church music positions. He was mentored by legendary Fort Wayne organist Buddy Nolan and moved to Fort Wayne in 1998 to be closer to the Embassy and its Grande Page organ.

The Halloween fun continues Friday, Oct. 23, with the Embassy’s Spells & Slashers Double Feature, featuring two very different Halloween favorites on the big screen: Hocus Pocus and Friday the 13th.
The evening begins with Hocus Pocus at 6:30 p.m., followed by Friday the 13th (R-rated) at 8:30 p.m. Patrons can choose to see one film or make a night of it and experience both. Audiences are encouraged to arrive early for a costume contest and Halloween-themed activities in the lobby before each movie.

The Embassy’s October lineup continues Saturday, Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m. with the Anime Music Experience, a high-energy concert journey from nationally touring anime tribute band Spirit Bomb.
Spirit Bomb brings iconic anime music to the stage, performing songs authentically in Japanese and staying faithful to the original recordings. The concert journey spans themes that defined the Toonami era through some of the biggest anime openings of today. Fans of Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, Pokémon, Cowboy Bebop, My Hero Academia and more will find familiar favorites throughout the performance.
Fans are encouraged to break out their best cosplay and join fellow anime enthusiasts for an energetic night of live music at the Embassy.

The Embassy's October calendar also features previously announced events, including the Music Lovers Lounge Black Attire Party on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 9 p.m. The 21+ event brings Music Lovers Lounge DJs to the Embassy for an evening of music and dancing, with guests encouraged to dress in all black.
On Thursday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m., comedian Brad Williams brings his Tall Tales Tour to the Embassy Theatre. Known for his energetic stand-up and fearless personal storytelling, Williams will bring his latest comedy tour to Fort Wayne for an evening of live comedy.
