Strauss — Don Quixote, TrV 184, Op. 35Dubbed ‘recollections of life in the country’, Beethoven’s symphony is “more the expression of feeling than painting” and a reflection of the composer’s love of the great outdoors. Principal Cello Andre Gaskins and Principal Viola Derek Reeves are featured in Strauss’ symphonic poem that tells the tale of the knight-errant with the unshakable courage to pursue his dreams.
