Summer Nights – Julie Hadaway

September 1, 2021

Show Time: 5:00 pm

Event is 5 – 9 p.m. (music begins at 6 p.m.), in the Yergens Rogers Foundation Ballroom, with access to the Parkview Health Rooftop Patio (weather permitting). Local food vendor, cash bar and concessions also available.

From Julie: “I LOVE singing! As the years go by, it has less to do with the music and more to do with the people! It is amazing to watch the mood of the room shift because of a song, or to watch people tapping their feet or dancing in their chairs. The thing I appreciate the most is all of the wonderful people I have met along this journey. Many of them have become like family to me; and for that, I am eternally grateful!

As much as I love singing, I did not quit my day job. I am currently a business teacher at Wayne High School in the Ivy Tech Early College Program. Before I became a teacher, I was a business and communication professor for International Business College, Ivy Tech Community College and Trine University. The transition has been remarkable! I am so grateful to have found my place and purpose in this world.

At the end of the day, I want to be the small difference that allows and encourages others to make large differences in our world. I want to be the voice in the song or in the lecture that whispers, “Yes, you can.” It doesn’t matter if I am on stage, in a classroom, or behind a screen … I am forever a teacher and a student. Life is good.”
