Embassy Theatre Announces Middle Waves Lineup

June 15 Festival Creates Fun Vibe at Parkview Field

Fort Wayne, Ind. (March 8, 2024) – The Embassy Theatre is thrilled to announce the lineup for the 2024 Middle Waves Music Festival. The festival will take over the Parkview Field concourse on Saturday, June 15 with music, art and good vibes! The main gate will open at 3 p.m., and music will begin around 3:45 p.m. Tickets go on sale today at 10 a.m. This year, MidWest America Federal Credit Union is the event’s Title Sponsor. The Stage Sponsor is Fort Wayne TinCaps and Artist Sponsor is Fort Wayne Metals.

This June, indie rock band Alvvays (2024 Grammy nominee) brings the energy to Fort Wayne as the event headliner. Excitingly, the festival also features three regional bands: alternative blues band Houndmouth, indie rock/grunge band Pom Pom Squad and indie-Americana band Murder by Death, (with Houndmouth and Murder by Death having roots in Indiana). Former Fort Wayne local rock band Overlook (now based in Nashville) will kick off the festival.

In addition to the music lineup, this year’s festival will feature four zones to engage patrons and amp up the festival experience.

The Art Zone (Sponsored by Don. R. Fruchey Inc.) will include local artists showcasing their artistic talents. Also, attendees can try their own hand at crafting masterpieces. This area will also feature festival favorites with flower crown, glitter bar and bracelet-making stations so that attendees can become a part of the vibe themselves.

The Creativity Zone (Sponsored by NiSource Foundation/NIPSCO) will allow participants to experiment with a variety of musical instruments. This lively area will also host a drum circle with showcases from 4 to 9 p.m. and an interactive garage band setup.

The Game Zone (Sponsored by BF Goodrich) will feature classic yard games like cornhole and Connect 4. The Embassy encourages everyone to play in this area between bands. This zone will offer fun for patrons of all ages.

The Vendor Zone (Sponsored by Greater Fort Wayne Inc.) will feature a variety of creative local vendors. Get ready for a treasure trove of goodies like stickers, candles, jewelry and much more.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase on the concourse for patrons. This event is open to all ages.

General admission pricing is $40 (with a $10 youth ticket). VIP/VVIP ticket options are available. VIP ticket holders will have access to the 400 Club, an air-conditioned building with a private bar. Complimentary snacks, heavy hors d’oeuvres and soft drinks are included. VVIP ticket holders will receive additional perks that include access to The Summit, a rooftop patio providing a great view of the stage. VVIPs will also get to enjoy an alcohol tasting by Hospitality Sponsor Five Star Distributing (for ages 21+ only).

With mission alignment in the foreground, discussions began in the fall of 2022 between the Middle Waves board and the Embassy Theatre about how the two organizations could partner to ensure the growth and longevity of the festival. The Embassy legally acquired the festival last summer and has taken over leadership of the programming, planning and execution. In recent years, the Embassy has charted a course to diversify programming and present more shows. The festival is in strategic alignment with such goals and offers an opportunity to help draw more visitors to the city and provide this community with a chance to have the music festival experience in our own backyard.
